Some things I adore about SUMMER.....but mostly off the wall!

I have been neglecting my blog lately and well I can't make any promises that I will do any better in the near future but I will try! We have done a lot since schools been out but I really need to clean my house because I have lost my kiddos a few times in this disaster area! So I will post pics and all that fun stuff later! Here is a (well I don't know what to call it) but bare with me....I love to have a clean house, who doesn't right? I hate to clean my house, who doesn't right? Hire a cleaning lady..problem solved, right? Not so much for me!!!! I am like the biggest weirdo when it comes to these things. My house is not clean by any means and anything would help, but when I do clean I am compulsive about it like vacuuming every crook and cranny and all in the same direction and mopping with a brush and bleach on my hands and knees. Now this doesn't happen often but when I do clean I want it like CLEAN. Cleaning ladies don't have time to do that nor could I afford to pay them to do all that the way I want it. So I hired someone but it just didn't work out because I am CRAZY!!! Clean it myself or not clean at all and lately that last one is what is going on in the Highfill house! My Nanny always said those dishes will still be there but you will only be little once. So we played and I play with my kids and live in filth. lol! Not complete filth don't call DHS just yet! So much for a short post that makes sense! I am rambling, but I just needed to see if I was alone in this or if there are more crazies like me out there!

Almost forgot.......
I love that we can stay in our PJ's all day and then get dressed at 4 in the afternoon if we have to because its SUMMER!!!!!!!!!

Ok..Sorry for the scitso post!

Hannah my helper

My last posts have not given my Hannah any credit and folks let me tell ya I could not do the things I do without her. She is not playing ball and that is fine by me. She knows what she wants and I am happy that she doesn't feel the need to do anything because she thinks someone else wants her to. She loves to hunt with her dad, really do just about anything with her dad and she LOVES horses! She has such a kind heart and she is truly an oldest child. She helps me without any problems and she is so good with her sisters. We really butt heads sometimes, but I think it is because we are so much a like in so many ways. She is bat girl for the Knockouts(Sid's team) and she loves it! She is turning into such a wonderful young lady! (tear, heart, smile)

What was I thinking!!!!!

So for those of you who do not like softball you might as well quit now because well as I said before it is my life! However, I am not exactly sure what I was thinking when I agreed to coach Sidney's 3&4 yr old t-ball/softball team. I mean really I love the little ones, but trying to teach them the basics of hit the ball, drop the bat(just drop it not throw it) and run is not such an easy task! Now do not get me wrong I am not trying to make all stars out of these little ladies I am just doing it for fun, but well but I just cant really explain how well CRAZY it really is! We had our first game last night and let me tell ya it was a SHOW!!!! They were like little chickens after a worm! It was just so cute and I had a hard time coaching because I was laughing at the little stinkers! At one point Sid goes up to the pitchers circle hitting her glove like she was going to make a double play and then just watches the ball roll past her and then we had one take her shoes off in the field. Fun times! It ought to be a season full of surprises because you just never know what kids that age are going to do!

Her bag is almost as big as she is, but isnt she a cutie!

She wants to be just like her big sister!

What starts with an S and ends with an L?

Well friends let me just answer that little question for ya! It is SoftbalL and that is my life lately! Baylee has played in a tournament the past two weekends and she is playing again this weekend and she also has 3 games this week! whew! They have been doing very good! I am so proud of my girl! They played in Sapulpa weekend before last and placed 3rd after 2 very long, rainy, and muddy days! Then they played in Broken Arrow last weekend and ended up with 2nd. Which I think is awesome, but they ended up getting beat by a team that they had already beat 2 times on Saturday, but 2nd is fine by me! Oh and Baylee got a HOME RUN! Not such a big deal except for the fact that she has been struggling a little with her batting and boy oh boy does that help her confidence. (mom had tears) I know, I know NO CRYING IN SOFTBALL!
Here is Baylee down and ready!!!!
Here she is cheesin for the camera...she is supposed to be down and ready! lol!

Baylee & her buddy Chelsea on a break

I will say it is busy, but I LOVE it! I am so proud and looking forward to a great season! GOOOOO BLAZE!!!!!!!

Blogging LOSER....thats me!!!

Let me start by saying that I am the worst blogger on the planet! We have been so busy lately that I haven't had even a second to blog anything, but I have been reading some of my faves when I get the chance. I am going to try and break down all of our activities in a few different posts instead of one massive, rambling post.
Here is at least a random pic of the girls on a warm Spring day!

The ever so accommodating Renfrows/Mushy Gushy

I decided that before I posted about our actual stay in Austin that I would make sure everyone knew who we went to see and why and just how super duper accommodating these fine folks were while we were there.

Natalie and I have been friends for such a long time, since like forever and I love her dearly. She is my go to gal not to mention a fabulous hair stylist, but more than that a true and loyal friend. I have spent so much time with her and her family over the years and we have soooooo many memories together. Our lives have gone from middle school dances and romances to married mommas, but it has been a wonderful ride. I have always known that no matter where we each were in our lives that Nat was just a phone call away and she would be there if I needed her. So moving on from the mushy gushy........ We stayed at Natalie and Garths beautiful new home from late Saturday night until Thursday evening and they were wonderful. We didn't plan a whole lot and Nat kinda needs a plan but we just rolled with it because when you have five kids, 1 Shirley, Granny, Robin, Garth and Travis (just Granny, Robin, & Travis a couple of days) you don't have much of a choice! They were all troopers though and we had a great time just hanging out and letting the kids play and get to know each other better. In all honesty that is what I wanted most from this trip is for my girls to become closer to Natalie and her girls. It is very important to me for my girls to be a part of their lives as much as possible! OK, OK enough already! I am like in a mushy-gushy melt-o-rama here! So here are few pics of the people behind my mushy gushy post!

Here are Natalie and Sharlette aka Shirley. Nat is trying to teach her mom how to pose and get a perfect pic every time like HER!

Sweet, sweet Sophie K. I could just eat this baby up! She is absolutely the most precious little thing! She is rockin' those shades! I miss her bunches!

Little Miss Izzy B or Dizzy as Sidney calls her. This picture pretty much sums her up! lol! Ornery, adorable, beautiful, and super smart! She melts my heart every time she says her name is Izabella. It is precious! I love her to pieces! I love this picture of her!

Here is the man of the house, Garth. He was such a trooper the whole entire time we were there. He went wherever we wanted whenever we wanted. He is so good!

So here they are the wonderful Renfrow Fam! I was going add a different pic of you Nat but it is kinda hard and all your pictures are good because of the pose! So later!

I love you guys and miss you!

Spring Break

Oh where to start..... This is gonna be a long one...

I will start with the days leading up up Spring Break first. Our boys and girls were both in the state basketball tournament. Go Tigers! Anyway, they played Thursday and Friday nights and I might add that they played their little hearts out! I am like a proud momma! I just love those kids! I took a bus load of kids to OKC for the games both days and this is all I got to say about that! PEP BUS!!! TEENAGERS!!!! Great times had by all. In the meantime Sharlette aka Shirley is patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for my text about who was winning or losing. We were planning on leaving for AUSTIN, TX to see Natalie, Queen Izabella, and Princess Sophia (sorry Nat you didn't get a title your just the momma) as soon as we could but I was committed to making as many trips as needed for the state games. So we waited... The girls ended up losing Thursday night but it was a good game to say the least and the boys lost on Friday night to Pawnee (home of Keaton Paige who we played in the semis last year) and Pawnee won the State tourney. So way to go guys! Soooo Shirley and I were gonna pack up my girls and her dog and head to Austin on Saturday. I did not have one single thing packed, but I didn't care. None of us could wait to get on the road.

And here we go!!! Baylee, hannah, Sidney and Ace! In his dog car seat....yes dog car seat! I must say they were all pretty good except for in Dallas when they needed to be the best but I am telling ya Ace probably gets the best traveler award.
I will post about our trip later!
